Himiway CRUISER
Himiway CRUISER

Having a hardtail e-bike that supports long-range travel and can handle any terrain will make your holiday journey or daily commute much easier and more enjoyable, and the Himiway CRUISER is designed to meet people’s such needs.

The powerful 750W Upgraded Brushless Geared Hub Motor can provide a maximum output of 80Nm, helping riders easily conquer mountains and hills. And the outstanding performance of the 840Wh Samsung lithium battery will support longer mileage in pure electric mode. With the Shimano 7-speed transmission system and mechanical disc brakes, users can easily achieve exercise or stopping.

Now let’s analyze the riding experience, specifications, and other versions of the Himiway CRUISER. If you want to learn more about bike reviews, you can follow us.

Snow Riding

I believe that most cycling enthusiasts got their first fat tire bike during the winter, and I’m no exception. When I first received the Himiway Cruiser, it was in the middle of winter. Therefore, I spent the whole winter with it in the snow. Looking back on that time, it was really enjoyable.

Comfortable Riding Position

Like most fat tire bikes, the Himiway Cruiser is designed for comfort. From the moment I sat on the bike, I felt very relaxed. The upright riding position not only gives me a broad view, but also makes my breathing smoother and my waist more relaxed.

Perhaps due to its soft and comfortable Velo soft saddle, many times I thought I was sitting on my sofa at home while enjoying the snow.

Fun Riding Experience

I really like the “creaking” sound of the wheels turning on the ground, which is very therapeutic, just like the feeling of my feet stepping on the snow. It’s fun.

Due to the reliable bumps on the surface of the 26″x4″ Kenda K-shield fat tires, the wheels have strong grip on ice and snow, and there is no slipping. So I can pedal steadily without worrying about instability or tire sinking.

To reduce air leakage, I usually lock the front fork travel, so the pedaling process is very natural and effortless. I tried adjusting the assist gear to get more electric power assistance and reduce the weight on my feet. Naturally, the feeling of pedaling weight was reduced.

Of course, considering the wider tires have stronger grip, I also often try to do wheelie on the trail in the snow. By the way, if you want to go riding in well-known terrain or special terrain, you can book your accommodation on IHG Hotels & Resorts. It is not only rich in variety but also easy to operate.

I gently lift the handlebar, and the front wheel also rises, and then naturally lean back with my body, leaving behind a long trail of tire tracks in the snow, and my laughter.

Climbing and Descending

Of course, climbing in the snow was made easier thanks to the support of a 750W brushless gear motor and Shimano 7-speed gear shift system. Looking at the steep slope in the snow, I reoriented the handlebar and pedaled normally. With the power gear set to high and switching the gear with a large gear ratio, the wheel came to a steep slope and slowly climbed upwards.

I felt very relaxed, my legs were not as sore as they usually are when climbing with lactic acid, but very light. And when it came downhill, the air became more refreshing. I never worried about the slippery ground, partly because of the Kenda K-shield tires, which have a strong grip on the raised surface. On the other hand, it’s because the bike’s mechanical disc brakes are so practical that they listen very well to finger commands and slow down as quickly as I need them to. So I often let go of the handbrake and let the bike slide down the slope freely, hearing the cold wind sound in my ears, which is fun.

Daily Travel

While many people only define a fat tire bike as snow, beach, or mountain, I feel that this all-terrain design is more suitable for everyday travel. On one hand, the Fat Tire is not afraid of any terrain, whether it’s city kilometers or unpaved roads, it can go wherever the rider needs to go. On the other hand, the reliable motor, battery, and Shimano 7-speed drivetrain system are convenient for pedaling trips. So I often ride it to run errands or commute.

I have to say that the rear rack of the bike is very strong and durable. I can easily pack my luggage, secure it in the back, and commute between my house and my parent’s house in town. Plus the 840Wh Samsung lithium battery has a superb range, so I can easily enjoy a round trip even in pure power mode.

There was a section of unpaved, dirt and rocky trail, but the alloy fork, which was equipped, scrambled to clear the bumps in the road, and with the cushioning ability of the fat tires, I could barely feel the vibrations in my hands.

Occasionally when I come back at night, I don’t worry because the powerful 48V luminosity spotlight, which is brighter than the average LED light, provides a good lighting environment and I can easily see rocks and other obstacles on the ground very reliably.

Specification

When it comes to the specifications of the Himiway CRUISER, many users find it to be a great value for the price.

Just like other high-quality Himiway e-bikes, the Himiway CRUISER is made with premium 6061 aluminum material, providing unmatched durability that can easily accommodate even tall riders.

With its reliable and durable Shimano 7-speed gear shift system and 180mm mechanical disc brakes, riders can confidently climb hills or speed through city streets.

The powerful 750W Upgraded Brushless Geared Hub Motor paired with the 48V 17.5Ah Samsung lithium battery provides an extended range of 0-5 level pedal assist, making for an easy and sweat-free ride.

The large 26″ x 4″ Kenda fat tires not only have excellent traction but also absorb shock from the road. And with the Alloy front suspension fork with lockout and adjustment, every ride is smooth.

Other versions of the Himiway Fat Tire

Other Versions of the Himiway Fat Tire

For those who are looking for a higher-end riding experience, we also reviewed the Himiway Zebra electric fat tire bike, which is a brother version of the Himiway CRUISER.

With an additional $400 in the budget, the Himiway Zebra has upgraded its motor, battery, and braking system. The upgraded 750W brushless gear motor supports a maximum output of 86Nm, allowing for a top speed of 25mph.

The more powerful 960Wh Samsung lithium battery also supports a longer range, allowing for up to 80 miles of pedal-assist riding or 60 miles of electric-only riding.

In addition, the Tektro 180mm hydraulic disc brakes with motor cut-off switch provide faster and more precise stopping power, ensuring riders can stop safely in any weather condition.

Last but not least, the Himiway Zebra is even more friendly to larger riders, with a maximum weight capacity of 400 pounds, 50 pounds more than the Himiway CRUISER.

Himiway CRUISER vs. Rad Power Bikes RadRover Step-Thru 1

Rad Power Bikes RadRover Step-Thru 1
Rad Power Bikes RadRover Step-Thru 1

For individual travel, the Rad Power Bikes RadRover Step-Thru 1 is very convenient and reliable. Its comfortable geometry, delicate details such as the saddle and handlebars, and powerful 750W 80Nm hub-drive motor and 1×7-speed transmission system make riding more effortless and the journey smoother.

However, without a rear rack, Rad Power Bikes cannot carry companions or additional cargo, and users need to install a rack separately. Additionally, the Rad Power Bikes RadRover Step-Thru 1’s frame is not as load-bearing as the Himiway CRUISER. Plus, with the Himiway CRUISER having a wider range of height usability, its applicability is broader.

Himiway CRUISER vs. Denago Fat Tire Top Tube eBike

Denago Fat Tire Top Tube eBike
Denago Fat Tire Top Tube eBike

If you are complaining about the Himiway CRUISER’s Multifunctional LCD Display, then you can find solace in the Denago Fat Tire Top Tube eBike. Its Color display not only has a larger screen size, but also provides good guidance in the dark. In addition, Denago Fat Tire Top Tube eBike’s Bafang H550 rear hub, 48V, 750W motor is also very powerful, supporting a maximum pedal-assisted speed of 28 mph and a maximum throttle speed of 20 mph, very fast.

Although Denago Fat Tire Top Tube eBike’s 921.6 Wh battery is very powerful, both the color display and the Bafang H550 rear hub motor consume a lot of power, so in terms of range, Denago is not as strong as the Himiway CRUISER. Therefore, for riders who need to challenge endurance riding for a long time, riding a Denago on the road means that you need to stop more often to recharge the battery.

Himiway CRUISER vs. TurboAnt Thunder T1 Fat Tire Electric Bike

TurboAnt Thunder T1 Fat Tire Electric Bike
TurboAnt Thunder T1 Fat Tire Electric Bike

In fact, in terms of performance, the TurboAnt Thunder T1 Fat Tire Electric Bike is very similar to the Himiway CRUISER. Similar price, weight, and accessory design give it a “similar” feel in appearance and performance, and they are often compared.

However, we believe that in terms of cost-effectiveness, the TurboAnt Thunder T1 Fat Tire Electric Bike is not as good as the Himiway CRUISER. On the one hand, they have similar battery designs, but the Himiway CRUISER has a higher capacity, which means that Himiway CRUISER users will have more range. On the other hand, the Himiway CRUISER is currently on sale and cheaper, and although it’s only $100 difference, it’s enough to upgrade a component.

Therefore, for users who truly calculate and consider cost-effectiveness, choosing the Himiway CRUISER will save them more money.

Himiway CRUISER vs. iGO Electric Core Extreme 3.0

iGO Electric Core Extreme 3.0
iGO Electric Core Extreme 3.0

For those who have been paying attention to hardtail fat e-bikes in the $2000 price range, the 2021 iGO Electric Core Extreme 3.0 is no stranger. This bike has gained a lot of attention for its excellent comfort and outstanding off-road capabilities.

With its 26″ x 4.5″ larger tires and Shimano 1×8 speed transmission system, this bike can have better traction and powerful handling on slopes.

However, this bike also has its very obvious downsides, such as its 624Wh battery that cannot maintain more than 34 miles of range in the mountains. Of course, its load capacity is also very limited, supporting a maximum of 250 pounds of weight, which makes it unsuitable for heavier riders.

Although the off-road performance and comfort of the iGO Electric Core Extreme 3.0 are outstanding, in terms of price and range, the Himiway CRUISER provides riders with more reassurance.

Summary

If you are looking for an affordable and reliable hardtail fat e-bike, this Himiway CRUISER is not to be missed. As we said before, it does an impeccable job in terms of price, configuration and load, and range.

With a superior 750W hub-drive motor, powerful 849Wh Samsung/LG lithium battery, practical Shimano 7-speed drivetrain, and reliable Mechanical Disc Brakes, this e-bike achieves a true unity of affordability, performance, and functionality.
