Carrera Crossfuse Womens Electric Hybrid Bike Road Riding
For me, the most important thing I look for is riding comfort. I have to say that this bike handles this very well.
The first is in the saddle, the Selle Italia Gel saddle, although it is more slender in shape than most casual saddles. This may make many riders apprehensive at first glance, but my actual riding tells me not to worry. Because the soft gel padding gives enough comfort to the hips, I don’t feel tired on long rides.
On top of that, since I work at a distance from my house, I have to spend a lot of time on the road every day.
However, when I got this bike, it solved that problem nicely. This is thanks to the Bosch Active Line Plus Mid Drive that it comes with. The four-mode selection makes it much easier for me to ride on the road. I can adjust it to suit my needs, which is very effortless, and it has greatly reduced my commute to work. And it doesn’t make a lot of noise when it’s running, so I even enjoy the quiet ride to work.
The most important point, of course, is in its range, using the same Bosch battery. I’ve been using it for the past few weeks and the average range is between 30 and 35 miles. Of course, under extreme conditions, it can reach up to 80 miles, so you don’t have to worry about its range.
Carrera Crossfuse Womens Electric Hybrid Bike Off-road Riding
As a hybrid, its excellent performance is not only on-road riding, it also has good riding performance in some easier off-road sections. Before setting off, I also booked accommodation through IHG Hotels & Resorts to give myself ample space to rest and prepare.
In this test, I took it out into the wild on gravel roads. I like its Suntour NEX HLO fork. Because in addition to the nice outer table, it has 63mm of travel, which made it easy for me to get over the bumps.
Of course, it comes with the same fork-locking mechanism. And I can turn it on when going downhill and off on the flat, which is a huge improvement to my riding experience.
On the drivetrain, it uses a Shimano Acera 9-speed, perhaps too few shifting options are available for some riders. But just so you know, it’s a hybrid e-bike, and its motor will help you when you encounter different terrain.
Aside from that, I was equally surprised by its Schwalbe Tyrago KG tires when I was climbing. The wide tires provided enough traction and grip to keep me stable on some of the rougher terrains.
Of course, I mostly use it as a daily commuter bike. Although it also has off-road performance, it is still a bit inferior to those professional hardtail bikes. However, that doesn’t stop it from being a great bike.
