Specialized Sirrus 2.0 vs. Marin Fairfax ST 1
These two bicycles share similar materials, both featuring aluminum frames, 700c aluminum wheels, and steel forks with good performance. However, the Marin Fairfax ST 1 is equipped with mechanical disc brakes, while the Specialized Sirrus 2.0 features hydraulic disc brakes. Hydraulic disc brakes offer better braking performance, but they are heavier and less convenient for maintenance. Mechanical disc brakes are lighter but have less powerful braking.
Additionally, the Specialized Sirrus 2.0 comes with a 2×8 drivetrain. Compared to the Marin Fairfax ST 1’s 3×7 drivetrain, the 2×8 drivetrain has a wider gear range and smoother shifting. However, the Marin Fairfax ST 1 has a higher top speed, reaching 38 mph. It also has a smaller stack/reach ratio, resulting in a more aggressive geometry for higher riding efficiency.

Specialized Sirrus 2.0 vs. Schwinn Super Sport
The Schwinn Super Sport boasts a relatively fast speed of 39 mph, and it features a larger head tube angle, measuring 71.5°. This gives it outstanding maneuverability. Additionally, its BB drop is relatively large, which lowers the bike’s center of gravity for more stability. Its tire width is 35c, slightly wider than the 32c tires on the Specialized Sirrus 2.0. Wider tires provide enhanced support.
Furthermore, the Schwinn Super Sport is equipped with mechanical disc brakes, offering decent braking performance and ease of maintenance. It comes with a 3×7 drivetrain, which has a limited gear range and less smooth shifting. Both of these bikes come with pedals and grips. The Specialized Sirrus 2.0 has Specialized Body Geometry Fitness pedals and Specialized Body Geometry Contour grips, while the Schwinn Super Sport uses Schwinn sport pedals and Schwinn ergo grips, both of which perform quite well.
Specialized Sirrus 2.0 vs. Scott Metrix 30 EQ
The Scott Metrix 30 EQ features an aluminum fork, while the Specialized Sirrus 2.0 comes with a steel fork. A steel fork has more weight and offers better elasticity with some shock-absorbing capabilities, whereas an aluminum fork is lighter but less elastic. The Scott Metrix 30 EQ has a speed advantage, reaching 39 mph.
It’s worth noting that the Specialized Sirrus 2.0 uses Shimano Tourney components, while the Scott Metrix 30 EQ uses Shimano Claris components. Claris is technically a road groupset, while Tourney is suitable for entry-level mountain and road bikes. Claris has a stiffer spindle and crank, with its bottom bracket fixed on the drive-side crank. In contrast, Tourney cranks use the older square-taper bottom brackets, which lack stiffness, but they have simple and affordable cranksets.

Specialized Sirrus 2.0 vs. CUBE SL ROAD SL
The CUBE SL ROAD SL features a carbon fork, which is very sturdy and provides strong rigidity. However, it can be prone to breakage when subjected to impacts from sharp objects. The CUBE SL ROAD SL uses a 2×11 drivetrain, offering powerful shifting performance. But this results in the CUBE SL ROAD SL being almost $900 more expensive than the Specialized Sirrus 2.0 since it utilizes the higher-grade Shimano Ultegra 105 components.
Furthermore, the CUBE SL ROAD SL has a certain speed advantage, capable of reaching 39 mph. Looking at the geometry, both these bikes have a stack/reach ratio of 1.49, although their BB drop values differ. The Specialized Sirrus 2.0 has a larger BB drop, lowering the bike’s center of gravity for a more stable ride, while the CUBE SL ROAD SL has a slightly larger headtube angle, making it a very agile ride.
