During our rides, we encounter various road conditions. It can be quite a hassle to switch tires or even bikes for different terrains. That’s why I came across the Poseidon Dropbar X, a gravel bike that can adapt to a wide range of terrains.

Commuter Riding
Working in downtown Chicago, I grew tired of relying on crowded buses for my daily commute. So, when I got my hands on the Poseidon Dropbar X, I immediately made it my go-to commuter. And it has proven to be satisfyingly capable.
In the morning, accompanied by a gentle breeze and the first light of day, I set off on the Poseidon Dropbar X. As I continuously pedal forward, the riding speed is incredibly fast. The sensation of flying is simply fantastic.
During uphill sections, I adjust the Shimano RD-RX810 rear derailleur and Shimano GRX RX810 front derailleur to the lowest gear ratios, allowing me to generate powerful and smooth uphill momentum with minimal effort.
When descending, I have full control over the bike, and the MD-C510 Mechanical Flat Mount Brake Short-Pull Calipers help me stop promptly.
As long as I can come to a quick stop, I have no fear of encountering dangerous situations. On the contrary, I ride with more confidence and freedom. That’s the confidence it gives me.
In corners, I maneuver the entire bike, and the Kenda Small Block tires provide exceptional grip. With my extensive riding experience, I can confidently navigate every turn, and the feeling is simply exhilarating.
Leisure Riding
I enjoy weekend getaways, so on this occasion, I took the Poseidon Dropbar X for a ride to the outskirts of Chicago. This bike is equipped with three bottle cages, allowing me to stay hydrated without any worries about running out of water.
Additionally, the 700 x 35 Kenda Small Block tires offer great speed and excellent traction, making them suitable for various riding conditions. I can ride on different surfaces in both urban and suburban areas, including gravel roads and loose sand.
Additionally, the bike features eight smaller Nevegal knobs and a central tire tread made with L3R PRO rubber, providing excellent grip. I can speed through the suburban roads with freedom, without worrying about unsuitable road conditions or punctures.

The Poseidon Dropbar Redwood weighs 29.0 lbs, slightly heavier than the Poseidon Dropbar X (25.0 lbs). Equipped with a more flexible carbon fork, the Poseidon Dropbar X contrasts with the Poseidon Dropbar Redwood, which features 650b wheels for increased versatility.
The Poseidon Dropbar X has better tire clearance with its 700c wheels.
The riding speed of the Dropbar Redwood is slower, reaching only 28mph, whereas the Dropbar X can reach 30mph.
