Carrera Vulcan E Electric Mountain Bike Off-Road Riding
As you’d expect from a hardtail trail bike, the Carrera Vulcan E Electric Mountain Bike handles the rough trails just fine. At the beginning of my ownership of the Carrera Vulcan E, I rode it through the unpaved roads of the town to the potholed mountain trails.
If the Carrera Vulcan’s performance on hills is “passable”, I would give it an “excellent” rating on unpaved gravel roads anyway.
Right off the gravel road, I was drawn to the Carrera Vulcan E’s near upright riding position. It made me feel like I could breathe better, and I also had a greater range of vision. That means I don’t have to intentionally raise my eyes, the views on both sides of the trail come right into view, making me feel like I’m enjoying a vacation.
In addition, I love the extra-long Alloy Handlebar (760mm), which is too friendly for a rough and strong man like me. Because I can open my chest and stretch my shoulders to my heart’s content. And the Black MTB’s Grips grip is so comfortable that when I hold it tightly, it feels like my hands are being massaged.
When it came time to climb the dirt roads in the mountains, the Suntour HESC 250w rear hub motor made me feel the full kindness of Halfords. It seemed to read my mind and knew how much help I could give to make me most comfortable. It’s funny how I even feel guilty about my fat weight when I hear it make the “weng weng” sound.
On the downhill, I tried switching to ECO mode and the bike was still fast. I glanced down and saw 12.5mp written on the display and was inexplicably a little excited. Although the hill was a bit potholed, I felt very few bumps because the bike had 120mm Travel forks and the damping was very noticeable.
Carrera Vulcan E Electric Mountain Bike General Riding
If you think hardtail trail bikes can only be ridden in the mountains, then you may have to pay extra bills for a bike for everyday urban travel.
Carrera probably had this in mind. So the combination of battery and motor with 27.5″ x 2.1″ tires gives the Carrera Vulcan E even more versatility – even for city road riding.
Whenever the holidays and weekends, I am happy to ride it out, because it is convenient to hang out or run errands. I even use it as a commuter when the weather is nice.
Although Kenda K1027’s tires are hardly fast on the tarmac, they are very smooth and comfortable.
In addition, the frame of the bike is very road-riding friendly. Because I can feel that whenever I accelerate or turn, I can handle it fast and easily.
It’s worth mentioning that I like the LCD display mounted in the center of the Handlebar that I can see when I look down. Undoubtedly, the oversized font speed display is too friendly for me, a rider with not-so-sharp eyesight. After finishing my bike ride, I easily booked accommodation on IHG Hotels & Resorts. I can finally relax and rest well.

Although the Carrera Vulcan E is always considered to be the entry-level of the Carrera series, it has the same aluminum frame as its “hybrid brother” the Crossfire E. But it has the same aluminum frame as its “hybrid brother” the Crossfire E. It is strong and light.

Suntour Performance Rear Hub Drive, 250Wh Motor
The proven Suntour HESC rear hub motor, cleverly combined with ATS Active Torque Sensing, will create the most comfortable and natural pedaling sensation for you.
Those who are familiar with Carrera E-Bike should know that the ATS will measure the amount of pressure applied by the rider on the pedal together with the cadence sensor of the pedal. Probably the most impressive thing about the Voodoo BIZANGO-E is its very nice Fork (130mm Travel). Yes, the RockShox Judy air fork has great shock absorption, so riding the Voodoo BIZANGO-E on the mountain will make you feel very comfortable.

As an entry-level Decathlon presence, the ROCKRIDER 27.5 Inch Electric Mountain Bike E-ST 500 also has good performance and three very natural power modes. If the Carrera Vulcan E didn’t exist, I would probably choose it.

I have to admit that the REID E-Trail 2.0 eBike has great passability on single-track trails and a range of nearly 70 miles is appealing.
