Riding Experience
The Trek Allant+ 7 features premium components and numerous thoughtful design details, making it an intelligent solution for everyday urban travel.
For this, I planned to ride the Trek Allant+ 7 to a small town on the outskirts of the city for my weekend getaway. I booked a destination hotel on IHG. So, I packed my gear, loaded it onto the bike’s rear cargo rack, and set off. Almost the entire route of my ride was on flat, paved roads, with some uphill and downhill sections, and a few unpaved roads along the way.
Getaway Ride
The most immediate feeling I had when riding the Trek Allant+ 7 was that it’s a fantastic e-bike for a great riding experience. The geometry felt just right for me, with a riding position that wasn’t too upright. My pedaling effort while riding felt direct without any sense of sluggishness.
On uphill segments, the Bosch Performance CX motor provided ample power output. Combined with the Shimano Alivio T4000 drivetrain, which offers a wide range of gear options, I had plenty of power for tackling uphill roads while maintaining a fast riding speed with minimal physical effort.
On downhill stretches, the Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes, along with 180mm front and rear brake rotors, provide powerful and reliable braking. My continuous braking actions maintained consistent and reliable braking performance, ensuring a safe descent.
Lastly, on bumpy unpaved roads, the SR Suntour Mobie 25 suspension fork with 45mm of suspension travel absorbed road vibrations, enhancing the stability and comfort of my ride.
Daily Commuting
The Trek Allant+ 7 is also an ideal e-bike for daily commuting. I used it for commuting for some time. The front and rear fenders prevented me from worrying about splashing water on my clothes, especially on wet surfaces.
The bike’s front LED light served as a good warning device and also provided some nighttime illumination, improving the safety of my ride.
Finally, the 650b wheelset provided me with more agile handling for maneuvering through city streets and alleys, offering a free and pleasant riding experience.

Trek Allant+ 7 vs. Specialized Turbo Como 3.0
They are both excellent electric bikes. However, the former has a more substantial motor torque, delivering more powerful output.
Furthermore, both of these bicycles come equipped with suspension front forks that can absorb road vibrations and bumps, providing a more comfortable riding and commuting experience.
In addition, the geometry of the former promotes a more aggressive riding posture, allowing for a more direct transfer of pedaling power and achieving higher riding speeds. The latter offers a more relaxed riding posture, resulting in a less speedy ride.
Therefore, between these two commuter e-bikes, your choice can be based on your specific needs. If you want to ride faster, the Trek Allant+ 7 is a more suitable option. If you prefer a more comfortable riding experience, then the Specialized Turbo Como 3.0 is the way to go.

Trek Allant+ 7 vs. Cannondale Tesoro Neo X 3 Remixte
Both of these bikes use Bosch motors that offer robust, smooth, and quiet power output. They also have the same battery capacity, ensuring excellent range.
Furthermore, both bikes feature 1×9 drivetrains. However, the former’s Shimano components provide a smoother, more refined shifting operation, which I find to be of higher quality.
On the braking side, both of them are equipped with Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes, offering reliable stopping power with lightweight operation and the ability to perform well in all weather conditions.
In conclusion, the Trek Allant+ 7 has superior components and a slightly larger motor torque. I would be more inclined to recommend it.
Trek Allant+ 7 vs. Gazelle Ultimate C380 HMB Low-Step
These are both high-quality commuter electric bikes. Both bikes come equipped with suspension forks that can absorb all road vibrations, enhancing the riding experience for maximum comfort.
Furthermore, the former has a more aggressive geometry that allows for faster riding speeds. The latter features a more relaxed geometry, providing more agile handling and a comfortable riding position.
In terms of braking components, the latter is equipped with Shimano four-piston brakes, delivering stronger braking power compared to the former.
In conclusion, if you have a sufficient budget and prioritize a comfortable ride, the Gazelle Ultimate C380 HMB Low-Step is a worthwhile choice.
Trek Allant+ 7 vs. OHM Quest 2
When comparing these two bikes, the latter has higher-end components. Both bikes use Shimano drivetrain and braking components, but the latter features a higher-grade component level, delivering superior performance.
Furthermore, both of these bikes come equipped with suspension forks. However, the latter has a longer suspension travel, capable of handling rougher non-paved road surfaces.
Lastly, both bikes feature front and rear fender designs and a rear cargo rack, which do an excellent job of preventing water splashes on rainy rides.
In summary, the latter bike has superior components and is suitable for riders with a more generous budget. If you prefer not to spend too much, the Trek Allant+ 7 is also a reliable choice.
