Riding Experience
As a city dweller, I have always relied on public transportation to get around. However, with COVID-19 still affecting people’s daily lives, I decided to invest in a bike that would allow me to explore the city and its surrounding areas while practicing social distancing. After extensive research, I decided to purchase the KHS TC 150 hybrid commuter comfort bike.
The first thing I noticed about this bike is its weight and agility. I was able to easily maneuver through busy city streets, dodging cars and pedestrians with ease. The cushioned front fork and seatpost made for a smoother ride, absorbing the bumps and vibrations that come with riding on uneven surfaces like potholes and cobblestones.
My daily commute includes a 5-mile ride through the city center, passing by some of the most iconic landmarks like the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty. The KHS TC 150 is the perfect bike for this type of ride. It handles the stop-and-go traffic with ease, and the responsive brakes allow me to stop quickly and safely when needed. Additionally, the upright riding position of the bike makes it easy for me to see what’s around me, and I never feel like my back or neck is bearing too much pressure.
Weekend Riding
On weekends, I take my KHS TC 150 out for long rides outside the city. One of my favorite trips is riding along the Hudson River Greenway, a scenic bike path that runs along the Hudson River from Battery Park to the George Washington Bridge. The route is mostly flat, and the KHS TC 150’s 24-speed drivetrain allows me to effortlessly switch gears to maintain a steady pace. The cushioned front fork makes the ride more enjoyable, as I can appreciate the stunning views of the river and Manhattan skyline without feeling every bump on the road.
Another favorite weekend ride of mine is taking the KHS TC 150 to the nearby suburbs and leisurely riding on tree-lined streets. One of my favorite routes is going through the quaint village of Tarrytown, where I stop at a local bakery for coffee and pastries. KHS TC 150 vs Giant Cypress 1

In terms of suspension travel, the Fuji Crosstown 1.5 LS has a shorter travel that is only suitable for regular bumpy terrain. The 80mm travel on the test bike is more suitable for long-distance rides with bumpy terrain.
