Introduction
If you try to open the reviews on the official website of Cannondale Quick 3, you can see a clear 5-star review. Fast, light, comfortable and beautiful, these are the most genuine comments from users about this bike.
First of all, a change from the previous style of making the all-aluminum frame, aluminum frame with carbon fork and 12x100mm thru-axle combination, so that the body is more light at the same time, increasing the user’s comfort experience.
Then, the Shimano Altus/Acera 18-speed drivetrain with Tektro HD-R280 hydraulic disc makes both speed and braking easier and more fun.
Secondly, Integrated connectivity with Cannondale App makes every trip you take visual, and you can choose a more reasonable speed to ensure your health. Plus, 360°reflective accents are cool enough to add visibility. This allows you to stop worrying about speeders speeding by in the dark.
Therefore, speed is no longer the only pursuit of the Cannondale Quick 3. Consideration for user comfort and safety is also a sign of Cannondale’s sincerity.
Here’s a breakdown of the Cannondale Quick 3 ride, key features, components, specifications, and other versions.

Road Riding
I’m sure you’re all like me, when you get the Cannondale Quick 3, you can’t wait to ride it on the road in front of your house first. The first thing I felt when I got on it was that the Cannondale Fitness Ergo Double Density Saddle was so comfortable, soft, and flexible. It made my lower back feel more relaxed than ever before, and it was too good for my fitness.
I was also amazed by the Cannondale Ergo Fitness Dual Density Grips, which are non-slip and soft, so you don’t have to worry about your palms sweating and slipping when you work out.
What impressed me the most was how easily the Cannondale Quick 3 tires spun on the flat tarmac, even when encountering sidewalk rocks or other obstacles.
And, neither my arms nor my shoulders are likely to experience any soreness or pain. I believe this is all due to the full carbon fork and 12x100mm thru-axle, which can effectively absorb bumps and vibrations.
Of course, the wide-road tires of the Schwalbe Spicer, 700 x 35c, must also be instrumental in absorbing bumps and enhancing grip. Because a wide enough tire ensures that the tire has sufficient contact with the ground.
The Cannondale OutFront steering geometry is so friendly to me because I don’t like to ride bent over. Not only does it increase my hands’ maneuverability and range of vision, but my muscles and neck feel more relaxed than ever. Such a sophisticated design makes me enjoy cycling more as a fitness sport.
Also, I make good use of the rack mount disc when I commute on it, where I store enough water and food to make my work trips smoother.
Fitness Cycling
To be honest, the reason why I considered getting this bike was that my friend Noah suggested that I should do more cardio, and cycling for fitness was a good choice. I was amazed at the speed and comfort of the bike, and I took Noah’s Cannondale Quick 5 for a test ride.
Considering the number of slopes in my neighborhood and the fact that I enjoy a fast workout, on balance, I chose to pay almost $300 more than Quick 5 in exchange for faster speeds.
As it turns out, I made the right decision. The Quick 3 outperformed the Quick 5 on both flat and uphill roads. This excellent performance was even more evident on the downhill and sprint sections.
When riding against a friend, it was obvious to me that Noah was pushing hard during the sprint, while I was more relaxed and fast. Even when I pedaled the Cannondale Fitness Reinforced Composite at a slower pace, the bike went farther.
Every time I encounter a downhill road on my way to the gym, I enjoy it too much. The excellent gearing system with Tektro HD-R280 hydraulic disc, coupled with my exquisite operation of front brake dominant and rear brake point release, made the car fast but stable during the descent.
Every time I meet up with Noah for a ride, I feel more comfortable and confident than ever before with the speed and tailored comfort I get when I pass through the downhill sections, and Noah looks at me with envy. This wonderful feeling has made me even more enthusiastic about cycling and fitness as a sport.
Main Features
Frame
Unlike previous all-aluminum frames, the Cannondale Quick 3 uses a combination of SmartForm C3 Alloy and a lighter carbon fork to ensure that the body is light enough and strong enough at the same time.
This bike fork carbon material is a composite material, often used in the aviation industry. Unlike metal, which transmits shock vibrations from the road to your arms, its ultra-small density structure makes it perfect for eliminating the feeling of bumps from vibrations.
After all, it’s hard to avoid shocks and crashes when you’re on the move. With a carbon fork, you can keep your body balanced at all times.
This bike is available in mercury and red colors. With all-black components, aesthetically speaking, both give a high-end, atmospheric feel.
In addition, the Cannondale logo on the body is also very bright. The body and tires are equipped with 360° reflective elements to give the whole bike a higher visibility. Cool and at the same time protect the safety of the rider.
Finally, Straight shot hidden cable routing makes the car more aesthetically pleasing and also easier to maintain for the user.
Geometry
The geometry of the Cannondale Quick 3 adds to the reason why it gives us such a comfortable riding experience. Because the 5.5cm fork rake and 71° head tube angle work together intimately, allowing you to maintain a relatively upright riding position.
With such a clever design, you get more maneuverable space as well as comfort while reaping the benefits of a wider-angle riding view, making your trip more fun. In addition, the 6.2cm trail increases the sensitivity of the body. Even in the crowded crowd, you can nimbly weave through.
Components and Specifications
Shimano Altus/Acera 18-speed Drivetrain
First of all, the 9-speed SHIMANO ALTUS M370 rear derailleur is designed with its MEGA 9 DRIVE TRAIN. Users can choose the right gear set according to their preference to ensure a stress-free long-distance trip.
Secondly, there is no doubt about the operating feel of the MEGA 9 DRIVE TRAIN. The smooth and silky shifting performance allows you to shift gears without any delay. There is also a wider linkage that is not only durable but also makes the shifting process more precise. Therefore, smooth and light will be the most direct feeling of your gear shift.
Last but not least, the speed of the Sunrace, 11-34, 9-speed Cassette paired with the KMC Z9, 9-speed Chain, allows you to take on the challenge of acceleration no matter what the road.
Of course, if you are going downhill or sprinting, I suggest you try to use the high gear. This way you can feel the fastest speed with the least amount of effort.
Schwalbe Spicer Tires
The Cannondale Quick 3’s superior performance in terms of speed is believed to be due to the Schwalbe Spicer tires. To combine speed and comfort, Cannondale has adopted a 700 x 35c wheelset design.
Although you may think that such a wide bike will be hard to ride. But it is not enough to consider the durability of tires, it is more important to be able to provide a strong grip and absorb bumps effectively.
Even in wet conditions, the Schwalbe Spicer tires exhibit amazing grip. This was made possible by the design of ample tire clearance and the Cannondale Disc, double wall w/eyelet Rims.
I believe that the next time you ride it on a rainy day, you will be impressed by its uncompromising performance.
Integrated connectivity with Cannondale App
In addition to these common configurations above, I believe the Cannondale App for connecting visualizations will amaze you.
First of all, the intellimount stem is great, with a convenient mounting kit on top that securely holds any SP-connect compatible phone smart case. So you can always check the speed and mileage of your ride, even when you are on the go.
This brings us to the Cannondale Wheel Sensor, which works in conjunction with the Cannondale App to track your ride.
In addition, you can receive your eco-checkup report at the end of your trip. It will record the weight of calories you burned and how much less CO2 you emitted to the environment.
Other versions of Cannondale Quick
Cannondale’s Quick series of bikes are all great, and you can learn about the other versions as well. But I probably prefer the Cannondale Quick 3, and I’m sure you’ll feel the same way as I do after learning about it.
Cannondale Quick CX 3
I believe that when Cannondale Quick 3 is mentioned, you will also immediately think of Cannondale Quick CX 3 with its similar name.
The Cannondale Quick CX 3 is just as good as a cross-country road bike, although it can be used equally well for commuting or working out. But the wider 700 x 40c tires mean you’ll have to exert more effort during the ride.
At the same time, it may also be a little slower compared to the Cannondale Quick 3. But to its credit, the 63mm fork travel gives it more courage to take on more complex terrain.
If your journey is mostly on flat roads, I believe Cannondale Quick 3 is enough for you.

Marin Larkspur 2 vs Cannondale Quick 3
The Marin Larkspur 2 has also been on my radar for its retro look, and I have to admit the designer’s aesthetic is still right up my alley. As a bike that mixes fitness and mountain adventure, the Marin Larkspur 2 is also well-equipped.
But if you consider speed as well as comfort, the Marin Larkspur 2 may not impress me as much as the Cannondale Quick 3. While Steel’s frame and fork ensure that the Marin Larkspur 2 is sturdy enough, it also seems to be bulkier. The 1×11 drivetrain also makes it difficult to drive the body.
Therefore, if your friend rides Cannondale Quick 3 with you, he can perform faster, easier, more comfortably, and more relaxed.

Specialized Sirrus 3.0 Step Through vs Cannondale Quick 3
Speaking of excellent performance in terms of speed, the Specialized Sirrus 3.0 Step Through has to be mentioned as well. They are both quite similar in the design concept, both use aluminum frames combined with a carbon fork to ensure that the bike is solid while not losing comfort.
As far as my personal riding experience tells me, they perform about the same to my satisfaction, both in terms of speed and comfort.
If I had to choose between the two, I would probably be more attracted to the Cannondale Quick 3 with its nice enough 360° reflective accents and cheaper price. So, I would choose Cannondale Quick 3.
But if your wallet is not stressed, the Specialized Sirrus 3.0 Step Through is also a good choice.
Cannondale Adventure EQ vs Cannondale Quick 3
The Cannondale Adventure EQ is also a Cannondale family product, although the material manufacturing and Cannondale Quick 3 are very close, even the details of the design are perfect. But the designers put more effort into the user’s comfort experience and ignore the speed.
After all, it’s true that the Cannondale Quick 3 can get you more than 10 miles forward in the same hour spent. I bought the car primarily for commuting, seeking comfort but also speed, so the Cannondale Quick 3 is a better fit for me.
But if you like driving and slow-paced travel, the Cannondale Adventure EQ is great. Because every detail of it is designed for your comfort.

Bianchi Iseo Disc Acera vs Cannondale Quick 3
The Bianchi Iseo Disc Acera is similarly priced to the Cannondale Quick 3 and is also known for its urban fitness use. The Bianchi Iseo Disc Acera is a little less fast than the Cannondale Quick 3, but it is also fast. Especially in the downhill and sprint, the Cannondale Quick 3 is more outstanding.
In addition, although both are aluminum frames, Cannondale Quick 3 full carbon fork with 12x100mm thru-axle gives me a more comfortable riding experience.
