Pinarello GREVIL F EKAR
Pinarello GREVIL F EKAR

The Pinarello GREVIL F EKAR is a carbon fiber frame with top-notch aerodynamics and excellent geometry, reducing air resistance and increasing speed during high-speed rides. Its outstanding geometry provides efficient pedaling efficiency and riding comfort.

We will analyze the riding experience, key features, components, specifications, and other versions of the Pinarello GREVIL F EKAR.

In the latter part of this article, we will also compare it to several other top bike models. If you want to learn more about bike reviews, feel free to follow us.

Riding Experience

Compared to traditional road bikes, the Pinarello GREVIL F EKAR has a shorter reach and higher stack, providing me with better comfort and handling during rides.

To test it out, I took the Pinarello GREVIL F EKAR to the Lewis & Clark Trail and booked a hotel nearby using IHG.

The main bike trail here consists of paved roads, unpaved rail trails, and occasional sections of gravel, with generally gentle slopes.

Climbing

When climbing with the Pinarello GREVIL F EKAR, the lightweight carbon fiber frame design allows for efficient power transfer, providing quick acceleration while ascending.

Furthermore, the excellent geometry keeps my center of gravity stable and aids in generating power during pedaling.

The Pinarello GREVIL F EKAR’s Campagnolo Ekar 13s 1X drivetrain offers a wide range of gears and excellent transmission efficiency, making climbing easier for me.

Lastly, exceptional gravel tires, such as the MAXXIS ASSEGAI 2.5 EXO+, provide excellent traction, preventing any slippage on steep gravel inclines.

“Descending”

The Pinarello GREVIL F EKAR is truly enjoyable during downhill rides. After all, I’m not a fan of climbing.

Due to its focus on aerodynamics and rigidity, the Pinarello GREVIL F EKAR allows for faster and easier descents during long stretches.

On rough gravel surfaces, the bike’s TorayCa T700 carbon fiber construction, blending different types of HM (high modulus) and HT (high tensile) fibers, provides excellent rigidity and damping properties. The slight deformation of the carbon fiber helps reduce vibrations, resulting in a more comfortable ride.

When entering narrow paths that require frequent braking, the Campagnolo Ekar Ergopower 2-piston hydraulic brakes with 160mm rotors offer powerful braking capabilities.

The brake lever also provides a light and responsive feel, allowing for instant stopping with a gentle squeeze.

In summary, the Pinarello GREVIL F EKAR is a high-performance gravel bike. Its climbing and descending abilities have earned my recognition.

Specification

The Pinarello GREVIL F EKAR utilizes carbon fiber from TorayCa T700, known as one of the world’s best carbon fiber manufacturers.

By blending different types of HM (high modulus) and HT (high tensile) fibers, it achieves the ultimate balance of rigidity and damping. The fully internal cable routing design provides aerodynamic improvements and a cleaner appearance.

The chainstay length ranges from 422mm to 425mm, offering the optimal balance between responsiveness and comfort, compatible with both 700c and 650b wheels.

The Pinarello GREVIL F EKAR features Campagnolo Ekar 13S components specifically designed for lightweight gravel biking, offering smooth shifting. The braking experience is also light and powerful.

Other Versions

While the Pinarello GREVIL F EKAR is a lightweight, fast, and excellent gravel riding bike, its top-tier carbon fiber frame and components make it difficult to fit everyone’s budget.

To address this, we offer another model within the same brand that features a carbon fiber frame and carefully selected components, providing equally powerful gravel riding capabilities at a more affordable price, making it more accessible to riders.

Pinarello Granger X1 Disc

Pinarello Granger X1 Disc

Both the Pinarello Granger X1 Disc and Pinarello GREVIL F EKAR feature internally routed carbon fiber frames, offering a clean and tidy appearance. The design of silent line routing reduces noise during rides.

The frame material used is TorayCa T600 UD, which optimizes comfort with a carbon fiber structure that absorbs road vibrations, providing a pleasant and comfortable riding experience.

In terms of drivetrain, the sram apex 1 sgs 11s 1x groupset can handle almost all uphill gradients, offering excellent transmission efficiency.

For the braking components, the sram apex 2 pistons caliper hydraulic brakes paired with 160mm rotors provide reliable and powerful braking.

Below, we will provide specific details and list some gravel bike models with similar prices for your reference.
