In cycling, nobody wants their physical stamina to be the limiting factor in their speed. That’s why electric bikes have become a key focus for many people.
So, we found the Transition Repeater XO AXS. It’s an exceptional full-suspension endurance electric bike, and I have high expectations for its performance.
In this article, we will analyze the riding experience, main features, components, specifications, and other versions of the Transition Repeater XO AXS.

Riding Experience
To better test the Transition Repeater XO AXS, I purchased plane tickets and booked a hotel through Skyscanner to visit the Bermed As trail at “The Gorge” Mountain Bike Park.
This 2.1km trail consists mostly of downhill sections, with a 325m decrease in altitude. There are also some uphill sections, which are quite steep. Moreover, the trail is very narrow, accommodating only one bike at a time. There are challenging berms and plenty of loose gravel on the road, adding some obstacles to my ride.
Off-Road Riding
On the Bermed As trail, the quiet Shimano DU-EP800 drive unit allowed me to focus on the road without excessive heat buildup. The 250w power output made mountain riding effortless. Additionally, the bike had two bottle mounts, allowing me to stay hydrated.
During uphill sections, I fine-tuned the SRAM XO AXS Eagle Transmission to the smallest gear ratio, using less battery output for more power. I stood up and lowered the OneUp Dropper Post seatpost to prevent my legs from hitting it during acceleration.
During downhill sections with steep gradients, the excellent 160mm front travel and 160mm rear travel of the Transition Repeater XO AXS provided exceptional suspension. For large jumps on steep slopes, I shifted my weight backward, adjusted my posture in the air, and landed safely. Continuing the ride, I felt thrilled and exhilarated.
In the continuous bends ahead, I maneuvered the OneUp Carbon handlebar. The ODI Elite Flow Lock-On grips ensured a secure grip, and the 64° head tube angle provided agility.
However, on such treacherous terrain, I was always prepared to engage the SRAM Code Silver Stealth Hydraulic Disc brakes. These brakes offered outstanding stopping power, preventing accidents and providing excellent heat dissipation for durability.
Is that all?
The Transition Repeater XO AXS features the SDG Bel Air V3 saddle, which offers ultimate comfort and performance. The Bel Air, with its 20-year legacy, has a contemporary aesthetic and a comfortable geometry made possible by the latest technology. It incorporates free float comfort flex rail inserts, providing a remarkably comfortable sitting experience.
Furthermore, the Transition Repeater XO AXS is equipped with a 630Wh battery. While the battery capacity may not be large, it charges quickly. It can reach 50% capacity in 2.5 hours and full capacity in 6 hours, boasting a sleek design. During my ride, I could feel the battery continuously delivering power, resulting in a smooth cycling experience.

Transition Repeater XO AXS vs Orbea WILD M-TEAM 20mph
These two bikes have similar components and geometry, with not much difference. The Transition Repeater XO AXS features a highly precise 1×12 Electronic SRAM XO AXS Eagle Transmission. Its carbon frame significantly reduces weight, and the Shimano 250W 85Nm mid-drive provides powerful assistance. However, the Shimano 630Wh battery has a relatively small capacity, resulting in shorter battery life.
On the other hand, the Orbea WILD M-TEAM 20mph has a larger 750Wh battery capacity, offering a better battery life. Additionally, its trail is smaller than the Transition Repeater XO AXS, resulting in superior maneuverability.
In summary, if you prioritize a bike with good battery life and excellent maneuverability, the Orbea WILD M-TEAM 20mph is more suitable for you. If you prefer more precise shifting, I would recommend the Transition Repeater XO AXS.
