As a carbon frame gravel bike, the Look 765 GRAVEL RS METALLIC HOPE GREEN SATIN boasts great off-road capability on gravel roads.
To test it, I booked an air ticket and hotel on Skyscanner before I arrived at Canal Aventura Bike Park.
I picked the Urubu-rei route in Canal Aventura Bike Park, which was narrow and had a lot of gravel on the road.
There was also a big downhill road overall, with some uphill slopes interspersed with it.
All in all, the challenging road brought me many obstacles.
The CAMPA EKAR played a vital role in demanding uphills and downhills, making me switch the 13-speed drivetrain to face the different conditions and unleash the bike’s performance perfectly.
On one section of the descent, thanks to the carbon frame, I grabbed the LOOK LS2 AL Gravel 12° FLARE Handlebar and adjusted my position in the air to get ready for the impact at ease.
In addition, the HUTCHINSON TOUAREG did not get punctured under such impact. In fact, it ran over gravel quite easily.
Also, the tubeless design didn’t blow out even if punctured. I feel very safe.
On a long uphill section with a lot of gravel, I shifted my weight forward, stood up, and set the CAMPA EKAR drivetrain to the smallest gear ratio for more power with less effort.
As a rider with some former experience, I finished the ride with flying colors.
Is that all?
When faced with loose, dry surfaces, such as sandy roads, many bikes would shy away from these areas.
But the Look 765 GRAVEL RS METALLIC HOPE GREEN SATIN was an exception.
Its 40mm tires were able to overcome these surfaces, with an extra wide carcass for the great support and a complex tread pattern that provided amazing friction.
As a result, I could ride on these terrains. This was the confidence that the 40mm HUTCHINSON TOUAREG tires gave me.
Overall, it’s an excellent carbon-frame gravel bike. The lighter weight and excellent riding experience are worth praising.
It is an excellent carbon frame gravel bike.
High-module carbon frame and fork effectively guarantee its excellent performance, while a CAMPA EKAR derailleur provides smooth and efficient shifting.
In addition, it has 40mm Hutchinson Touareg tires mounted on Fulcrum Rapid Red 500 wheels, which provide maximum comfort for long training sessions.
Moreover, the bike has a Stack/Reach Ratio of 1.52, making it more comfortable to ride.
On the other hand, the 765mm stand-up height with CAMPA Hydraulic Disc can effectively protect the rider’s safety.
All in all, it is excellent and can give the rider a very comfortable riding experience.
Through many tests, we have a better understanding of this hardtail trail bike.
However, many riders may have their own requirements for its performance or components, so we found the same type of bike for further investigation.
Look 765 Optimum Chameleon Green Blue
The Look 765 Optimum Chameleon Green Blue has a 1×12 Electronic drivetrain, which comes with more weight and a more expensive price.
Plus, you have to be careful to check the power before you go out.
While the Look 765 GRAVEL RS METALLIC HOPE GREEN SATIN carries a 1×13 derailleur, which is relatively silky smooth and easier to maintain.
Even in winter riding with gloves, the drivetrain will not touch by mistake like the Electronic.
In addition, the Look 765 GRAVEL RS METALLIC HOPE GREEN SATIN has 40mm tires, a bit wider and good at adapting to soft, dry surfaces, such as snow and sand. The tires are also less likely to dent.
In short, if you want wider tires, the Look 765 GRAVEL RS METALLIC HOPE GREEN SATIN is for you.

Diamondback Haanjo 8C Carbon’s carbon wheels are a bit lighter than the aluminum wheels of the Look 765 GRAVEL RS METALLIC HOPE GREEN SATIN and people can ride the former at a faster speed.
But carbon wheels tend to break when facing impacts from the side when compared with aluminum ones.

Compared to Diamondback Haanjo 8C Carbon’s 2×11 drivetrain, Look 765 GRAVEL RS METALLIC HOPE is more silky-smooth in terms of shifting.
As a result, GREEN SATIN is better, and the popular setting of no front derailleur can effectively prevent the chain from falling off and reduce the weight.
So, if you want lighter wheels on your bike, the Diamondback Haanjo 8C Carbon is for you.
For those who want smoother shifting, I would recommend the Look 765 GRAVEL RS METALLIC HOPE GREEN SATIN.
