Riding on rugged terrain is still one of the more difficult things to do. You can indeed beat rough terrain with an off-road bike. Still, it’s just too physically demanding, so one would expect an e-bike to be able to ride on different terrain. I found it a perfect e-bike that can adapt to a vast range of terrain, and I was astounded at how well it performed in my tests.

Below, we will analyze the riding experience, key features, components, and specifications as well as other versions of the M2S All Terrain Ultra FS. And at the end of the review, we will also compare several best bike models. If you want to know more about bike reviews, don’t hesitate to follow us.

Riding Experience

This M2S All Terrain Ultra FS is an excellent e-bike that is advertised to beat all kinds of terrain, so for testing, I found the Sonoran Desert to test this bike. I purchased my ticket from Skyscanner and came here.

To better test the performance of this e-bike, I picked the Colorado Desert route. I thought this hilly terrain would be somewhat challenging.

Off-road Riding

I started the first uphill in a sun-protection ensemble and sunglasses on this bike. I must admit, this M2S All Terrain Ultra FS did a great job.

Its Bafang M620 Ultra Mid Drive offers up to 1500w of power for extra power throughout the bike, and the Shimano Deore 10-speed drivetrain is perfect for its Ultra motor, which offers a wide range of gearing. I was utterly undaunted as I faced the steep hills, so I swiftly adjusted to the smallest gear ratios and added full power upwards. I have to admit that this drivetrain is robust and reliable.

And when riding in the desert, I need to carry a large amount of luggage. Thanks to its 160nm maximum torque, I feel very relieved and excited to be able to drive on such a steep uphill despite its weight.

In addition, this M2S All Terrain Ultra FS is also equipped with 4.5-inch Kenda Juggernaut Sport fat tire bike tires, made of steel wire Taiken, 60TPI construction, and durable table tops that provide superb grip. On the sand, I was as smooth as possible without worrying about sinking wheels.

The sand was very soft on the downhill; however, the Tektro Auriga disc brakes with 2-piston technology and 180mm rotors provided fast braking power so I could brake timely for emergencies. And the Kenda Juggernaut Sport fat tire had significant friction, so I didn’t have to worry about the tires slipping.

Is that all?

The Colorado Desert route has a lot of uphill and downhill, which is very challenging for its range. Still, the bike has a battery pack consisting of tandem 18650 lithium-ion batteries and a battery management system. The 48v 25 amp hour battery provides a very long range when riding. I don’t need to worry about running out of power at all.

And, with the bike’s proprietary frame design, the alloy four-bar linkage full suspension frame is light and robust. With the sealed box bearings and oversized pivot, I can get excellent off-road performance and feel like I’ve conquered the line as I whiz through the sand.

Specification

The M2S All Terrain Ultra FS is one of today’s most powerful fat tire e-bikes. It has an All Terrain 6061 aluminum frame that provides a lighter weight and a firmer body.

M2S All Terrain Ultra FS vs Juiced Bikes HyperScorpion

Juiced Bikes HyperScorpion
Juiced Bikes HyperScorpion

M2S All Terrain Ultra FS has aloy four-bar linkage full suspension aluminum frame, lighter than Juiced Bikes HyperScorpion steel frame weight. In addition, Juiced Bikes HyperScorpion’s fork is also made of steel. Even if its flexibility is not as good as the M2S All Terrain Ultra 100mm Air Damped Fork, M2S All Terrain Ultra FS is more excellent in its damping effect.

On top of that, the Juiced Bikes HyperScorpion’s 16″ wheels are flexible but not as passable as the 26″ wheels of the M2S All Terrain Ultra FS.

So if you want a sturdy bike, the Juiced Bikes HyperScorpion is perfect for you, and if you want a bike with good shock absorption, the M2S All Terrain Ultra FS would be a better choice.

M2S All Terrain Ultra FS VS Brompton Electric C Line Explore Folding Bike – Mid

2023 Brompton Electric C Line Explore Folding Bike - Mid
Brompton Electric C Line Explore Folding Bike – Mid

The Brompton Electric C Line Explore Folding Bike – Mid is heavy at 102 lbs compared to the M2S All Terrain Ultra FS at 92 lbs (with battery). And the Brompton Electric C Line Explore Folding Bike – Mid has a 1×8 Drivetrain, which doesn’t have the same range and smoothness of shifting as the M2S All Terrain Ultra FS’s 1×10 transmission.

In addition, the steel fork of the Brompton Electric C Line Explore Folding Bike – Mid is less flexible and does not damp, as well as the M2S All Terrain Ultra FS aluminum fork.

It must be mentioned that the Brompton Electric C Line Explore Folding Bike – Mid is a foldable electric bike that is easy to carry over long distances and saves space.

So if you want a foldable bike, I’d recommend the Brompton Electric C Line Explore Folding Bike – Mid. If you want a smoother-shifting bike, the M2S All Terrain Ultra FS is the way to go.
