Fezzari Cascade Review
- Price: $2,999
- Frame: Aluminum

- What we like: Wide shifting and a good suspension system to help you tackle diverse terrain and road conditions.

Without actual riding, all descriptions are meaningless. To provide our users with an authentic reading experience, our team headed to Moab, Southern Utah. Before setting off, I also booked accommodation through Skyscanner to give myself ample space to rest and prepare.
Although we’ve been here before to review bikes, we came back because Southern Utah is the location of Fezzari’s headquarters, and Moab offers a variety of different difficulty levels of singletrack and bike paths.
The ever-changing terrain and high-difficulty challenges didn’t make me afraid but instead filled me with determination, and the reality didn’t disappoint me.
Riding on the Slickrock Trail
Slickrock Trail is one of Moab’s famous tracks. From a distance, the surface looks smooth and reddish. However, when I rode the Fezzari Cascade here, I found that the Slickrock Trail is composed of red sandstone, with fine sand covering the surface, making it look smooth.
However, the surface is full of details with various bumps and rock formations, which require better skills and experience to conquer.
Fortunately, Fezzari Cascade’s wide gear range and responsive shifting allowed me to quickly adapt to the changing terrain on the Slickrock Trail, ensuring a smoother and better riding experience.
Not only that, Fezzari Cascade’s front DVO Diamond D1 140mm and rear Fox Float DPS Performance Series suspension systems effectively reduce bumps and vibrations during the ride, allowing me to pass through various terrains more smoothly and comfortably.
Riding at Dead Horse Point State Park
I have to say, the Fezzari Cascade performed exceptionally well on the ever-changing terrain of Slickrock Trail. The outstanding suspension system and responsive drivetrain left a deep impression on me.
But for a more comprehensive evaluation, we rode for five hours at Dead Horse Point State Park. It’s a beautiful park with challenging downhill sections for advanced riders. Knowing our abilities, we didn’t attempt those challenging downhill sections and chose a relatively easier route.
On this downhill route, the Fezzari Cascade with 29″x2.5 Maxxis tires provided me with stable handling while experiencing high speeds. The built-in remote dropper post not only provided convenient seat height adjustment but also acted as a shock absorber during relatively large drops.
Additionally, the ergonomically designed Selle Italia Model-X saddle and Fezzari FRD Charger35 handlebars made my ride more comfortable and efficient.
Overall, the Fezzari Cascade is a high-performance mountain bike equipped with top-of-the-line components and advanced technology, capable of meeting the high-level demands of professional riders and providing excellent riding experience and competitive performance.
Fezzari Abajo is a high-performance full-suspension mountain bike that delivers outstanding performance and value. Now, let’s talk about its component configuration and why it performs so well.
Firstly, it features a DVO Diamond D1 140mm travel fork and Fox Float DPS rear shock, enabling it to glide through various mountain terrains, including muddy steep slopes and rugged valleys. These shocks maintain the frame’s stability while providing smooth suspension movement, ensuring optimal comfort and stability during rides.
Secondly, the Fezzari Abajo is equipped with SRAM GX Eagle 1×12-speed shifter and SRAM Level hydraulic disc brakes. These components ensure precise and reliable shifting and braking. Its Maxxis Minion DHF and Aggressor tires also offer excellent traction and durability, performing exceptionally well on various terrains and weather conditions.
Furthermore, Fezzari Abajo’s frame is made of high-quality aluminum alloy material, providing excellent strength and durability. The frame features a fully sealed bearing design and a replaceable derailleur hanger, providing riders with excellent control and reliability.
Moreover, it offers a freely adjustable seat post and the comfortable Selle Italia Model-X saddle, making rides more relaxed and enjoyable.
In conclusion, the Fezzari Abajo is a high-performance full-suspension mountain bike with a powerful suspension system and top-of-the-line components, capable of meeting riders’ needs on various complex terrains. This bike delivers reliable performance and high-quality materials, with various custom options, allowing riders to fully customize their riding experience.
Other versions of Fezzari Cascade
We took the Fezzari Cascade to challenge many harsh terrains, and this bike conquered us with its outstanding performance. To have a more comprehensive understanding of the Fezzari Cascade, we also found its other versions. Here is our review of them, hoping it will be helpful to you.
Fezzari Cascade Peak
The Fezzari Cascade Peak is the mid-high-end version of the Cascade series, featuring an aluminum frame. However, I prefer the color of the Fezzari Cascade.
Nevertheless, Fezzari Cascade Peak is also equipped with a 140mm DVO Diamond D1 fork, which performs excellently in downhill shock absorption. However, in terms of the rear shock absorber configuration, although Fezzari Cascade Peak uses the same model of Fox Float DPS, Fezzari Cascade uses the updated Fox Float DPS. Nevertheless, this Fezzari Cascade Peak can also provide reliable riding performance and comfort.
Overall, the Fezzari Cascade series offers multiple versions to meet the needs of different riders. Regardless of which version you choose, you can get the desired riding experience.
What do we like about it?
- Damping performance: Equipped with a DVO Diamond D1 fork and Fox Float DPS rear shock, it can provide excellent damping performance and make the ride more comfortable.
- SRAM GX Eagle 1×12 Shifting System: This shifting system provides 12 speeds, allowing the rider to smoothly switch speeds in different road conditions and improve riding efficiency.
- Equipped with SRAM G2 R hydraulic brakes and SRAM Centerline discs: this brake system is reliable and powerful, providing excellent braking performance and ensuring the safety of the rider.
- Wheels: Maxxis Minion DHF / Aggressor tires, capable of providing excellent traction and control.
- Elegant design: the frame design is beautiful and streamlined and looks stylish.
What don’t we like about it?
- Higher price: Fezzari Cascade is a high-end bike with a higher price
- Does Fezzari Cascade have a dropper? What are the benefits?
There are droppers. The benefit of the lift seat bar is that the saddle height can be adjusted instantly with the push of a button. It allows you to lower the seat on descents for more confidence and control while allowing you to lift the saddle back up during the pedal section without having to get off the bike. It also makes it easier to get on and off the bike since you can lower the saddle before mounting the bike.
- Does the Fezzari Cascade have a tubeless setup? What are the benefits?
Yes. The advantages of a tubeless setup are the added blast protection and the ability to run at lower tire pressures for increased comfort and traction on the track.
- What is the appropriate rider height size for Fezzari Cascade?

Fezzari Cascade vs. Giant Stance 29 1
These two bikes are high-performance mountain bikes suitable for climbing and descending. Fezzari Cascade features a larger 130mm travel and uses the DVO Diamond D1 front suspension and Fox Float DPS rear suspension, providing better performance and adjustability.
On the other hand, the Giant Stance 29 1 uses Giant’s proprietary frame and components, as well as Maxxis Forekaster tires. It is more suitable for entry-level riders who want to balance performance and price. Overall, Fezzari Cascade is suitable for professional riders who need higher performance. Meanwhile, the Giant Stance 29 1 is more suitable for those who want an entry-level high-performance mountain bike.
Fezzari Cascade vs. Marin Rift Zone 27.5″ 2
The Fezzari Cascade is a 29-inch full-suspension mountain bike that is suitable for those who want to tackle more technical mountain routes. It uses high-quality components, has an excellent suspension system and braking system, and features the SRAM GX Eagle 1×12 drivetrain.
Meanwhile, the Marin Rift Zone 27.5″ 2 is a lighter and more maneuverable bike that is suitable for those who prioritize speed and agility. It uses the Marzocchi Bomber Z2 front fork and Shimano Deore 12-speed drivetrain. If you want a more technical mountain bike, you can choose the Fezzari Cascade. If you prioritize speed and maneuverability, you can choose the Marin Rift Zone 27.5″.
Fezzari Cascade vs. Canyon Neuron 6
The Canyon Neuron 6 is equipped with a Fox 34 Rhythm front fork and Fox Float DPS Performance rear shock, providing excellent suspension performance and a smooth riding experience. In addition, it features a Shimano SLX 12-speed derailleur and Miranda Delta crankset, delivering quick and smooth shifting and efficient power output. The Schwalbe Nobby Nic 29×2.4″ bronze skin and Schwalbe Wicked Will 29×2.4″ bronze skin tires also offer excellent grip and stability.
While the Canyon Neuron 6 is an excellent mountain bike, the Fezzari Cascade also holds its own with its high-end component configuration.
If you value suspension performance and efficient power output, the Canyon Neuron 6 is a good choice. If you prefer more responsive handling, superior shifting, and better tire performance, the Fezzari Cascade may be more suitable for you. Overall, both bikes are high-quality options with different features and advantages, so it is recommended that you choose based on your personal needs and preferences.
Fezzari Cascade vs. Ibis Ripley AF Deore
Both of these bikes have different features. However, they both offer excellent suspension and drivetrain systems that can handle various terrains. The color options and KS Rage-i Dropper seat post of the Ibis Ripley AF Deore may attract more users.
Fezzari Cascade offers more custom sizing options and an adjustable X-Fusion Manic internal seat post, allowing users to better adapt to their body type and riding style. So no matter which bike you choose, it will bring an extraordinary riding experience.
These are our tests of the Fezzari Cascade. It can handle the varied terrain of off-road riding trails and has a high-quality component configuration. If, however, you like the challenge of more off-road terrain, this bike will increase your confidence.
