The Nukeproof Dissent 275 RS is a full-suspension downhill mountain bike with a sturdy aluminum frame, developed and tested with the world’s fastest racers.
Thus, it has nimble, powerful off-road capabilities and excellent descending ability.

Riding Experience
The first impression I got from the Nukeproof Dissent 275 RS was that it was a speedy mountain bike that could challenge all the fierce surfaces, and the 200mm of shock travel front and rear gave me more confidence to make the big drop leap.
For this reason I immediately booked a ticket to a mountain bike park near my home on Skyscanner to get the fastest feel for how exciting the descent of this full-suspension downhill mountain bike really was.
The route I chose this time was almost all gravel and sand-based ground combined with large drop jumps and winding trails, which only a full-suspension downhill mountain bike could go to conquer the surface.
Decline
I was at the start point at the top of the hill, put on my gear and rested for a while before heading out.
There was a big drop-off platform in front of me, so I pulled the front end up and landed smoothly. I am very satisfied with this.
Then came the acceleration section, and I pedaled fast.
For the small bumps on this section of the route, the Nukeproof Dissent 275 RS was no problem at all, and the excellent RockShox fork’s initial responsiveness and the coil-over rear shock’s ground-hugging nature made me rampage like I was driving a tank.
The SRAM Code R brakes with SRAM Centreline, 220mm front and SRAM Centreline, 200mm rear discs was so powerful that I could stop this big guy whenever I want.
Trail
The Nukeproof Dissent 275 RS was also excellent on continuous winding trails.
The 780mm handlebar length was the one I was most accustomed to using, with nimble steering ability.
The 27.5-inch wheelset was also at my disposal, allowing me to descend the trails at a faster pace.
The Michelin DH22 27.5 “x2.4, TLR’s large grain outer tire stuck to the ground well and provided excellent grip, giving me great cornering confidence as I took the corners at a faster speed on a continuous winding trail.
In short, the Nukeproof Dissent 275 RS is a traditional speedy mountain bike without the climbing performance, but it definitely has the strength not to be underestimated when descending.
Specification
The Nukeproof Dissent 275 RS is available in a total of four aluminum frame sizes from S to XL, and features an internal alignment frame design for a cleaner, neater look.
The protective patch at the downtube prevents damage to the frame paint caused by splashing stones hitting the downtube during intense riding.
The protective patch on the rear fork also reduces the noise from the chain slapping the rear fork during riding.
Nukeproof Dissent 275 RS has a chain stabilizer and I agree with it, as downhill bikes work on the most difficult surfaces. Without such a design, it is common for the chain to fall off and break the disc.
Finally, the Dissent 275 RS has excellent geometry and shows exceptional composure and stability on fast passing rough sections. And it’s a breeze to make some moves in the air.

The Nukeproof Dissent 275 RS is a full-suspension downhill bike with nimble handling, and it’s more than suitable for leaping up and doing some moves in the air.
But the 27.5-inch wheelset limits its descent speed and stability.

NUKEPROOF DISSENT CARBON 290 RS
Comparing the NUKEPROOF DISSENT CARBON 290 RS to the Nukeproof Dissent 275 RS , the former’s carbon fiber frame is lighter in weight and will be less physically demanding for speed riding.
First of all, the former uses a 29-inch wheelset for better stability and passability on descents than the latter.
Then both use the same RockShox Boxxer Ultimate 200mm travel fork, but the latter has a coil-damped rear gut, giving it a better grounding.
Then on the drivetrain kit and brake kit, both speed bikes use the same kit, which gives both similar shifting feel and braking ability.

Nukeproof Dissent 275 RS vs Canyon Sender CFR Mullet
As for the Nukeproof Dissent 275 RS and the Canyon Sender CFR Mullet, the latter uses a carbon fiber frame, making the overall weight lighter.
It is also more suitable for doing movements in the air.
The latter’s Fox Factory Float 40 fork has better support than the former RockShox Boxxer Ultimate fork, which also allows the latter to handle greater drop heights.

Nukeproof Dissent 275 RS VS Commencal SUPREME DH V5 ESSENTIAL
The Nukeproof Dissent 275 RS and the Commencal SUPREME DH V5 ESSENTIAL are both aluminum-frame downhill mountain bikes.

Sherpa OLYMPUS DH SRAM XO1 – Black’s Marzocchi Bomber 58 fork has the same 200mm of damping travel as the RockShox Boxxer Ultimate on the Nukeproof Dissent 275 RS.
But the latter’s fork has better support and stiffness, while the former’s The former fork is more responsive.
Next, the same SRAM X01 kits are also used in the drivetrain package, bringing a crisp and sharp shifting feel and strong rear derailleur tension to each bike.

The latter’s 29-inch wheelset with a looser head tube angle makes for a more stable and faster descent.
But the former has the advantage of being more agile, easier to handle and better suited to make some moves in the air.
The latter’s Öhlins shock is easier to adjust and more supportive than the former’s RockShox.
However, the SRAM X01 of the former is more robust than the SRAM GX of the latter, and the former’s rear derailleur has more tension.
In terms of braking components, both bikes have excellent brake feel.
Finally, these two bikes can be chosen according to your riding style.
If you like to pursue the ultimate descent speed, then the Intense M29 PRO with large wheel diameter is more suitable. Suppose you’re into leap, then the Nukeproof Dissent 275 RS brings a better experience.
