Giant Trance X Advanced SX

Roar on difficult mountain roads in search of the ideal mix between passion and speed. Every mountain bike rider searches for the ideal vehicle to go on conquering any obstacle. It gives us great joy to present today a comprehensive analysis of the 2024 Giant Trance X Advanced SX. Excellent performance, creative design, and first-rate riding experience abound on this bicycle. In the mountain bike business, a fresh trend has developed. From highly performance carbon fiber frame to sophisticated Maestro rear suspension system. Every element reflects Giant’s pure quest of excellence and great rider concern. Let’s start this trip of discovery right here. See how unique Trance X Advanced SX is among mountain bikes.

Riding Experience

When I first stepped onto the 2024 Giant Trance X Advanced SX. I knew it would be a unique cycling journey. The starting point I have chosen is Yosemite National Park in California, USA. A place famous for its spectacular granite cliffs, waterfalls, canyons, and huge redwood forests.

Climbing

In the morning, as the first ray of sunlight penetrates through the mist, it illuminates the winding paths within the park. I ride my Trance X Advanced SX through the tranquil forest. The bicycle is lightweight and flexible, and the 145mm Maestro rear suspension system perfectly absorbs ground vibrations. Allow me to maintain stability even on rough and uneven paths.

As the altitude gradually increased, I faced my first challenge – a steep uphill road. But Trance X Advanced SX did not disappoint me. Its strong power and efficient transmission system allow me to easily handle it. I switched to low gear and exerted force on my legs. The bicycle seemed to merge with me, smoothly climbing every slope. When I finally stood on the mountaintop, overlooking the magnificent scenery beneath my feet, the sense of achievement was indescribable.

Descending

When going downhill, Trance X Advanced SX demonstrated its extraordinary strength. The 160mm suspension front fork and rear suspension system work together. Provided me with unparalleled stability and handling. I raced down the winding mountain road, feeling the wind whistling past my ears. Every turn feels like dancing with a bicycle. Especially when I encounter roads filled with rocks and tree roots. The agility and grip of Trance X Advanced SX have doubled my confidence. I can easily overcome every obstacle and enjoy the collision of speed and passion.

During my cycling trip to Yosemite National Park, I specifically chose a route leading to Half Dome. This is an extremely challenging mountain road, but the flip chip of Trance X Advanced SX allows me to adjust the geometric structure according to road conditions and personal preferences. Ensure that I maintain optimal handling and comfort throughout the entire cycling process. When I finally stood at the foot of Half Dome, looking back at the mountain road that I had conquered. My heart is filled with pride and satisfaction.

Specifications

1. Advanced suspension system

The all-new Maestro rear suspension system has an additional travel of 145mm. Specially designed for technical single track road conditions. Combining Trunnion mounted shock absorbers and Advanced Forged Composite rocker arms. Provide longer strokes to achieve a smooth and active riding experience. At the same time, it enhances the rigidity of the chassis and improves the tracking ability on rough terrain.

160mm travel front suspension fork: matched with rear suspension system. Provide extra confidence and maneuverability for radical off-road riders.

2. Height adjustability

Three position Maestro flip chip: allows riders to adjust the frame geometry based on riding style and terrain. High setting increases ground clearance, suitable for narrow, technical single track road conditions; Low settings create a smoother head angle and lower bottom bracket for high-speed processing; The middle position is set to neutral.

Head tube flip chip: provides an additional 10mm (three levels in total -5mm, 0mm,+5mm) extension adjustment. Further fine tune the riding posture and frame geometry.

3. Wheel configuration

27.5-inch rear wheels: Smaller diameter wheels provide agile and fast response. Especially on steep, technical terrain. This “mullet” setting (29 inches in the front and 27.5 inches in the back) is favored by riders. Because it combines speed, stability, and rear wheel flexibility.

29 inch front wheels: providing speed, stability, and front-end control. Especially suitable for rugged, technical off-road conditions.

4. Frame and materials

Advanced composite material frame: Made of high-performance grade native carbon fiber. The frame and rocker arm are constructed with a handmade single shell. Optimized the rigidity to weight ratio, providing ultra responsive riding quality.

Enhanced frame design: including large lower pipes and widened top pipes. Together, we provide excellent front-end lateral and torsional rigidity. The rectangular shaped lower tube brings unprecedented steering accuracy and pedaling performance.

5. Protection and Innovation

Built in protection: The drive side chain fork and lower tube have built-in rock and debris protection. The 3M protective strip at the junction of the head tube and bottom tube protects the frame when loaded onto the transport vehicle.

Integrated tire wheel system: providing higher efficiency, comfort, and control. It is a user-friendly and reliable system.

6. Other characteristics

Integrated lower storage space: convenient for carrying tools, snacks, and other essentials. Increase cycling convenience.

Widened wheel hub spacing: 110mm front wheels and 148mm rear wheels provide a more stable wheelset. Increase tire clearance and improve chain line to optimize transmission system performance.

Giant Trance X Advanced SX VS Giant TCR AdvancedDisc 1+ AR

Giant TCR Advanced,Disc 1+ AR

Some drivers enjoy SRAM’s direct and clear shifting sound. This makes the TCR series also sensitive to the requirements of these drivers. Our choice is the whole SRAM Rival eTAP 12 speed electronic shift system. Offer a true wireless gear changing interface.

Unlike earlier models, this one does not feature top-notional components. This might influence gear shifting’s smoothness and cause general weight gain as well.

Giant Trance X Advanced SX VS Giant TCR Advanced Disc 1Pro Compact

Conquer the mountaintops [Giant Trance X Advanced SX Review]
Giant TCR Advanced Disc 1、Pro Compact

It employs valuable 105 components. Instead of the matching 105 sprocket, get the more reasonably priced Praxis sprocket. This increases bicycle cost-effectiveness still more. It is quite fitting for riders who wish to upgrade in the future without feeling bad about overspending on the wheelset.

Given this road car with aluminum wheels, the drawback is clear-cut. Heavy wheels could not offer the ideal riding experience if you intend not to replace the wheels.

Giant Trance X Advanced SX VS Giant TCR Advanced ProDisc 0 AR

Giant TCR Advanced Pro,Disc 0 AR

Highly awaited in the road bicycle market in 2023 is the Giant TCR Advanced Pro Disc 0 AR. Even the most experienced riders will find great impact from the excellent components of this bicycle. One great feature only few riders have access to is the Sram Force eTap electronic transmission system. This package offers amazing precision and smoothness, so improving the whole ride efficiency and enjoyment.

The power meter of Giant TCR Advanced Pro Disc 0 AR is still another amazing aspect. Usually, this is not often seen within the same price range as this bike. This extra feature is a terrific tool for dedicated riders who wish to monitor their performance and advance their training.

Giant Trance X Advanced SX VS Giant TCR Advanced SLDisc 1 AXS

Conquer the mountaintops [Giant Trance X Advanced SX Review]
Giant TCR Advanced SL,Disc 1 AXS

Excellent thorough road vehicle is the Giant TCR Advanced SL Disc 1 AXS. It will definitely appeal even to the most discriminating rider. High grade components, including the Sram Force eTap electronic transmission system, abound on this bicycle. This is a great advantage, but not every rider will be used to the Sram shifting gear feeling. Furthermore remarkable and unusual is the incorporated seat bar. It not only appears really professional but also greatly lessens weight and resistance. This function improves the riding experience generally, which speeds up and increases efficiency of cycling.

The Giant TCR Advanced SL Disc 1 AXS has yet another possible disadvantage in that it makes it challenging to arbitrarily change the integrated seat rod length. Riders who must often change the saddle height could find this difficult. since any modifications depend on the whole seat pole being removed. Furthermore, the unusual form of the integrated seat rod could make it more challenging to locate accessories or replacement parts.

Summary

After a comprehensive evaluation, we deeply felt the extraordinary riding experience brought by Trance X Advanced SX. Whether shuttling through narrow technological monorails or galloping across vast mountains. This bicycle is known for its excellent handling, stability, and comfort. Let cyclists fully enjoy the fun of mountain cycling. Its innovative design and outstanding performance undoubtedly set a new benchmark for mountain bikes. Thank you all for your company. I hope this review can provide valuable reference for your mountain bike selection. Let’s explore the unknown together with cycling and ignite life with passion!
