Riding Experience
To better assess this full-suspension mountain bike, I booked flights and reserved a hotel through IHG to visit Fernie Alpine Resort.
At Fernie Alpine Resort, I chose the Trac III trail. This trail spans 1,073 feet, with a consistent downhill slope, a 170-foot elevation drop, and rugged, narrow, and bumpy terrain. The path is covered in branches, leaves, and even includes constructed jumps. I was excited about the upcoming challenges.
Trail Riding
Starting from the Trac III starting point, I tackled the uphill portion. I adjusted the SHIMANO DEORE RD-M6100-SGS DIRECT ATTACH rear derailleur to the lowest gear ratio, making it easier to generate more power. Also, I lowered the seat height using the dropper, accelerating while standing to avoid hitting the seat with my legs. I managed to climb smoothly, and during jumps, I adjusted my posture to brace for impact. Thanks to the impressive shock absorption from the 150mm front travel and 135mm rear travel, I didn’t experience excessive jolting.
As I descended, I controlled the ENTITY XPERT handlebar. Utilizing the TEKTRO HD-M735 HYDRAULIC DISC BRAKES, I constantly adjusted my speed to prevent accidents. The 150mm front travel and 135mm rear travel also reduced vibrations during the downhill section, providing a comfortable and enjoyable downhill experience.
Next, I encountered a series of consecutive turns. Leveraging my extensive experience, I skillfully maneuvered the ENTITY XPERT handlebar. The 27.5″ wheels contributed to agility, aiding in responsive cornering. Seated on the ENTITY XTEND saddle, I shifted my weight to navigate the turns smoothly. Thanks to these features, I confidently conquered every bend. This is the confidence that the Polygon SISKIU T7 instilled in me.
