In everyday life, electric bikes serve as a comprehensive alternative to traditional bicycles. The main advantage of an electric bike is that it allows for faster riding and can carry a lot of cargo. That’s why I came across the Pedego Boomerang, a fantastic urban electric bike, and I am excited to see how it performs.

Commute Riding
In the past, I commuted using a traditional bike, but everything changed when I got my hands on the Pedego Boomerang.
With its Pedego Branded 500W 45Nm hub-drive motor, I could easily reach maximum gear and fly on the road. My legs felt light, and the sensation of the wind while riding at high speeds was exhilarating. It’s a fantastic feeling of excitement and freedom without much effort.
When facing uphill slopes, I would shift to the lowest gear ratio, allowing the Pedego Branded battery and Pedego Branded 500W 45Nm hub-drive motor to conserve power. This way, I smoothly ascend the hills and descend them with ease. The Aluminum Alloy handlebar gives me full control over the bike, ensuring a smooth ride on the road.
During night rides, the front headlight illuminates my path, providing peace of mind, and the Star Union Hydraulic Disc brakes give me immediate stopping power, preventing any accidents or tipping. I feel safe and can confidently handle various road conditions.
Moreover, after a long ride, when the battery runs low, I recharge it at home using the noiseless smart charger. The IP-certified charger is waterproof and dustproof, and I found it charges quite quickly, saving some charging time.
Leisure Riding
I travel for leisure every week, so I took my Pedego Boomerang on a trip to the outskirts of Chicago. With the rear rack, the bike can carry a lot of luggage, making it incredibly convenient to bring along all necessities. Additionally, it has a water bottle holder, so I don’t have to worry about staying hydrated.
Furthermore, the Schwalbe Fat Frank tires are suitable for all types of terrains and provide reliable puncture protection, thanks to the combination of Tubeless Easy technology and tire sealant. I can feel that these tires offer excellent traction and rolling performance, making the entire ride exceptionally convenient.
Specifications
The Pedego Boomerang is an excellent urban electric bike, available in four colors for riders to choose from. The battery, complying with UL2580, is made of high-quality lithium-ion cells from top manufacturers. It comes with a 6061-T6 Aluminum Alloy and Rigid High Tensile Steel fork, offering 100mm front travel for decent suspension performance.
Additionally, the bike features Pedego Branded battery and Pedego Branded 500W 45Nm hub-drive motor. The battery comes in 480Wh and 720Wh options, while the 45Nm torque of the motor allows for heavy loads. All of these factors make it highly convenient for riders.
Moreover, the Pedego Boomerang is not heavy, making it easier to push when the battery runs out. The braking system consists of Star Union Hydraulic Disc brakes with a 180mm rotor, providing outstanding stopping performance.

However, Pedego Boomerang has larger 26″ wheels compared to C3STROM Astro Pro’s 20″ wheels, making it more stable to ride, while the 20″ wheels of C3STROM Astro Pro offer great agility and maneuverability.
Additionally, the C3STROM Astro Pro is a hardtail electric bike with 120mm front travel, providing a decent suspension effect. On the other hand, Pedego Boomerang is equipped with rigid suspension.
So, if you desire a bike with strong suspension, the C3STROM Astro Pro can meet your needs. If you prefer a more stable ride with 26″ wheels, the C3STROM Astro Pro would be a better choice for you.
Pedego Boomerang vs Marin Sausalito ST E2
