In terms of paint color choice, the Bianchi Via Nirone 7- GRX 400 still uses the classic Bianchi Green. And a hydroformed aluminum frame is used to reduce weight while ensuring a sturdy body.

For the kit selection, Shimano kit drivers, Shimano GRX 400 RD-RX400, and Shimano FC-RX600 46x30T cranks are used. The basic Shimano kit makes it easier to change and upgrade parts.

Wilderness Riding

I have to say that the Bianchi Via Nirone 7- GRX 400 gave me a very good feeling on this wild ride.

The road we rode on the ground this time was a gravel trail in the wilderness. During the ride, you can feel its damping effect and you can steadily control the handlebars while riding.

This is mainly due to its Bianchi Carbon 1.1/8″ fork. The material used is carbon, which effectively absorbs the vibrations generated during the ride.

It is worth mentioning that the Bianchi Via Nirone 7- GRX 400 uses a 700X35 size tire. Its increased width compared to the 700X23C aids in long-distance riding.

For this reason, we conducted a 3-hour-long high-intensity test in the field, and I was able to feel the smoothness and comfort of the tires during the ride.

At the same time, the temperature of the road also increased during the test because of the long exposure to the sun. The Kenda Happy Medium vacuum tires also remained intact under our test.

And it uses the Velomann 2302HRN saddle, which remains soft and comfortable to support my hips even on long rides. It allows me to focus more on the front while riding, rather than me sitting uncomfortably.

Road Riding

As an endurance road bike, we had to talk about its performance on the road. the Bianchi Via Nirone 7- GRX 400 is equipped with the Shimano GRX 400 ST-RX400 drivetrain, which is a great drivetrain for road endurance riding.

First of all, the 2×10 gears, coupled with the Shimano FC-RX600 crankset with a 46x30T combination, give us plenty of shifting options.

Secondly, the bike uses Shimano BR-RX400 brakes, which are efficient and responsive, giving me peace of mind that I don’t need any extra braking during the test drive.

As far as performance and safety go, the Tektro non-cartridge brake is great. It provides a ride that is one of the best I have experienced on a bike at this price.

For this review, we even raced. The pedals on my feet were flying as I got on it and sped around the roads with others. Bringing the gears and chain, I was able to perceive the change of gears, to my praise.

The Bianchi Via Nirone 7- GRX 400 is only an entry-level enduro bike, but riding it will bring you the joy of riding.

Main Features

Frame

As a well-known Italian bike brand, you can see the seamless Italian craftsmanship on the Bianchi Via Nirone 7 with smooth-looking welds on the frame.

In terms of materials, the Nirone 7 Allroad alloy is used and hydroforming technology is used. As a result, it is lighter in weight and equally strong. Moreover, the welds on the frame look very smooth. At the same time, the use of Celeste colors gives a brighter look without making the bike look too bland. The beautiful paint finishes and decals are very much to my aesthetic.

The internal alignment design not only looks great on the outside but saves you from bruising.

It also has a rack and water bottle cage mounting holes, making it more convenient for you to ride outdoors.

Geometry

When I first came across this Bianchi Via Nirone 7- GRX 400, its geometry and design caught my attention.

Needless to say, the ergonomic design of this bike is specifically designed for medium to long-distance riders, combining the performance and comfort of a bike, in a perfect blend.

The steep seat tube angle (74.5°) ensures your pedaling efficiency while keeping your center of gravity in a proper position, making it more aerodynamic and giving you a more comfortable ride.

And, it uses a 155 mm headtube. This makes it very low in the front, but this does not affect its maneuverability.

The steep head tube angle (71.5°) gives me more responsiveness during steering. It also comes with a 3.5 cm spacer, which gives you some wiggle room when adjusting your position.

The drivetrain of the Bianchi Via Nirone 7- GRX 400 consists of the Shimano GRX 400 RD-RX400 front derailleur and the Shimano GRX 400 RD-RX400 Shadow+ Design 10sp rear derailleur.

First of all, the 2X10 drivetrain makes it possible for you to select different speed gears for different terrains and be able to respond quickly when shifting gears.

Secondly, the Shimano GRX 400 RD-RX400 drivetrain still runs smoothly over rough terrain. This is thanks to Shimano Shadow RD+ technology, so you don’t have to worry about chain slaps or drops.

Finally, the RD-RX400 is compatible with all newer Shimano 10-speed STIs and 10-speed cassettes up to 11-36. So there are more options for later replacement as well.

Shimano BR-RX400 Brakes

The Kenda Happy Medium features a very low tread in the middle to reduce rolling resistance and two rows of closely spaced knobs on the outside. It provides good cornering control as you lean.

In this test, we also tested the Bianchi Via Nirone 7-105, both of which are part of the same series of road bikes, and both are similar in overall configuration.

The difference is that the Bianchi Via Nirone 7 – 105 has a 2×11 drivetrain. Although it has two more options than the Bianchi in terms of gears. But in my actual test, the 2×10 drivetrain is definitely enough to face different roads.

At the same time, the Bianchi Via Nirone 7-105 is a few hundred dollars more expensive. So I prefer the Bianchi Via Nirone 7- GRX 400 both from a practical riding perspective and in terms of cost-effectiveness.

Also being a road enduro bike, the Giant Contend AR 1 has 2 more options in the drivetrain than it does. I don’t know what you guys are looking for in a drivetrain, but if you’re looking at the gearing options alone, that’s a very bad judgment call.

The Giant Contend AR 1 indeed has more shifting options when facing different roads. But we didn’t feel it too much in the actual riding. Because the 2X10 drivetrain is enough to face most of the roads.

Also, the Giant Contend AR 1 does not have fender mounting holes. This makes for more mud on some muddy roads, making your bike less easy to clean.

And, in terms of price, the Bianchi Via Nirone 7- GRX 400 is even cheaper than it is.

Secondly, in terms of drivetrain choice, the BMC Roadmachine X AL ONE uses an upgraded version of the Bianchi Via Nirone 7- GRX 400, which has a more responsive shifting capability.
