Riding Experience
Climbing
As I hopped on the Juliana FURTADO R/Carbon C, the sun had just risen and the air was cool. I was ready to tackle one of the toughest races in mountain biking – the TransRockies. Held in the stunning Canadian Rockies, the terrain is incredibly challenging, with steep climbs and technical descents that require skill and precision. Before the race started, I also booked accommodation on Skyscanner so I could rest well and be prepared for the biking race the next day.
As I climbed the first hill, the Juliana FURTADO R/Carbon C proved its worth. The 1×12 drivetrain made it easy to find the right gear, while the Truvativ Descendant crankset provided plenty of power for steep climbs. The bike’s suspension system, including the RockShox Pike fork and full rear suspension, kept me comfortable and in control as I navigated the rocky terrain.
Despite the tough climb, I felt strong and confident on the FURTADO R. The bike’s geometry is specifically designed for women, making it easy for me to maintain position on the bike and balance through technical sections of the climb. When I reached the first summit, I knew the FURTADO R was the perfect bike for this race.
Rushing Down The Slope
The descent on the other side of the mountain was long and technical, with curves and steep drops that required precision and skill. But I knew that Juliana FURTADO R / Carbon C could handle the challenge.
As I pointed the bike down the first downhill, the bike’s suspension kicked in. 130mm of rear travel and 140mm of front travel soaked up the bumps and rocks on the trail, allowing me to maintain my speed and stay in control. The bike’s hydraulic disc brakes provided excellent stopping power, giving me the confidence to let the bike fly down the hill.
Despite the challenging terrain, I felt completely in control of my Juliana FURTADO R / Carbon C. The bike’s lightweight carbon frame was designed specifically for women, making it easy to negotiate tight corners. There were also 29-inch wheels that provided plenty of stability and traction as I descended.
When I crossed the finish line at the end of the race, I was exhausted but excited. I knew that the Juliana FURTADO R/Carbon C was the perfect bike for this type of terrain. With its top-of-the-line components and women-specific design, it allowed me to push my limits and achieve my best performance to date.
